Social Distancing Project
Foursquare Workspace were approached by Ordnance Survey, a long term client, to develop a plan alongside their Facilities Team to enable their full workforce to return to work. As it was shut throughout the COVID-19 Lockdown, their office was not adequately prepared for the new social distancing measures.
Plan
First we visited their office and discussed a variety of products that are built to protect from viruses and illnesses. We also discussed how these products could be adapted to suit their requirements.
As Perspex was in such short demand for obvious reasons, we suggested an alternative in the form of an Antimicrobial Vinyl product that could be used to divide the seating areas within their canteen. Reasons for choosing this product included it’s durability, the fact it wouldn’t scratch, easier cleaning processes and it’s ability to be installed in a variety of corporate colourways.
Works
Once a plan was in place we got straight to work on fitting Antimicrobial and Perspex screens to the canteen area, Coffee stations, reception desks and the Boardroom.
As promised screens in matching corporate colours were added. This meant the overall design of the office was not compromised and would help to inject even more colour into the area.
Functional sanitising stations were placed at the front and rear entrances of the building in order to protect staff and visitors. As a finishing touch we placed floor stickers so staff could easily move around the office while also adhering to social distancing.
