Foursquare Workspace

Wessex Resins

Wessex Resins and Adhesivesa leading epoxy product manufacturer based in Romsey, approached Foursquare Workspace with a clear vision — to transform their tired, dated office into a bright, modern, and inspiring workspace. The client wanted an office that better reflected their professionalism, attention to detail, and innovative spirit, while also improving the comfort and productivity of their staff.

Before contacting us, Wessex Resins had already spoken with several other companies to obtain quotes for the project. However, none had provided a clear plan, pricing structure, or tangible design proposal. Recognising this opportunity to offer a comprehensive and transparent service, our team was delighted to step in and help them realise their ideal workspace from concept to completion.

Plan

The client’s initial request was to divide their existing open office into two separate offices and a dedicated meeting room. They wanted the new layout to feel organised and functional but without losing the sense of space and light.

During our first site visit, we noticed that the existing office, while generously sized, felt dark and enclosed due to its dated finishes and heavy colour palette. Our design team proposed introducing glazed dividing walls to create a sense of separation while maintaining visibility and openness between areas. Combined with light-coloured furniture and finishes, this approach would dramatically brighten the space and achieve a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

We also advised the client on how simple refinements to existing elements could elevate the entire environment. For instance, we suggested re-finishing the green window frames in a more neutral tone to align with their corporate branding. Additionally, replacing the old ceiling tiles with new ones would refresh the space instantly, creating a uniform and polished finish.

Following these discussions, we produced detailed plans and visual concepts illustrating how the layout and finishes would work together to deliver a professional, modern atmosphere. The client was enthusiastic about the design direction and approved the proposal for implementation.

Works

With the design finalised, our installation team began the fit out process. The first step was a full strip-out of the existing office, removing any outdated finishes and redundant elements to prepare for the transformation.

Once cleared, we installed brand-new suspended ceiling tiles, giving the space a brighter, cleaner appearance. The existing windows were carefully masked and spray-painted, achieving a sleek, uniform finish that complemented the new colour palette. The walls were redecorated, ensuring consistency throughout and tying the scheme neatly into the company’s branding colours.

Next came one of the project’s standout features — the installation of dry-jointed glazed partition walls. These were finished with colour-matched trim for a seamless, high-quality appearance. To add personality and reinforce brand identity, we applied a digitally printed manifestation to the glass, incorporating the company’s logo and branding elements. This not only served as a visual highlight but also provided the necessary level of privacy between spaces without compromising light flow.

The final phase involved introducing new, modern office furniture to complement the refreshed interior. We supplied and installed desking, ergonomic seating, and integrated storage solutions, ensuring both functionality and comfort. A large meeting table was also added to the new conference area, creating an ideal space for client meetings and team collaboration.

As a final touch, our team designed and installed a bespoke light fitting in the client’s corporate colours — a statement feature that adds a unique, creative flair to the space and ties the entire design together.

The completed project has completely transformed the Wessex Resins and Adhesives office. What was once a tired, outdated workspace is now a bright, contemporary environment that effectively combines form and function. The new glazed partitions successfully divide the office into distinct zones while maintaining an open, airy atmosphere, and the modern finishes bring a renewed sense of energy to the space.

The inclusion of the company’s branding within the glass manifestation and bespoke lighting reinforces their identity and pride in their workplace. The result is a professional yet welcoming environment that staff and visitors alike can enjoy.

The client was extremely happy with the final outcome, praising both the quality of the workmanship and the collaborative process throughout. In fact, they were so impressed with the transformation that they have since invited Foursquare Workspace to prepare plans and quotations for further improvements within their facility — a testament to the strong relationship built and the success of this project.

The Wessex Resins and Adhesives Office Fit Out stands as an excellent example of how thoughtful design, attention to detail, and open communication can completely rejuvenate a workspace, creating an environment that inspires productivity and reflects a company’s true character.

The final step was to introduce a selection of new furniture including desking, storage solutions and a large meeting table to replace the old and outdated items. We also created a stunning bespoke light in the clients corporate colours.
